Manual forecasting doesn't work at scale. Spreadsheets are stale the moment they're sent. Suppliers need 6–12 weeks lead time, so you're guessing on demand 8 weeks out — and you're usually wrong.
90-Day Demand Forecast by SKU & Marketplace
Hilal predicts monthly demand for every SKU on every marketplace. The forecast includes:
• Base demand trend (accelerating, flat, declining)
• Seasonality (captured from 24 months of history)
• Day-of-week and event-driven patterns (Prime Day, BFCM bumps)
• Confidence intervals (90% of the time, actual demand falls within this range)
Update frequency: weekly. Forecast updates automatically as new sales data arrives.
Auto-Set Reorder Points — Never Stockout
Based on forecast demand + supplier lead time, Hilal calculates the reorder point (ROP) for each SKU:
**ROP = (Daily Demand × Lead Time Days) + Safety Stock**
Safety stock accounts for demand variance + lead-time variance. Conservative sellers get bigger safety buffers; aggressive sellers get tighter stock.
When inventory drops to the ROP, Hilal flags it and can auto-draft a PO.
Lead Time Aware
Hilal tracks each supplier's lead time (scraped from Alibaba, or you override). If your supplier normally takes 8 weeks, the ROP accounts for 8 weeks of demand.
Multi-Marketplace
If a SKU sells on both Amazon US and Shopify, the ROP is the combined daily demand across all channels.
Auto-Draft Purchase Orders
When reorder point is hit, Hilal drafts a PO:
• Supplier name, lead time, MOQ, unit cost
• Recommended order quantity (based on forecast, MOQ, storage cost)
• Delivery date (lead time from now)
• Total cost (unit cost × qty)
You review, edit quantities/supplier if needed, then submit. Hilal never submits without your approval.
